One of America’s best breakfast casseroles is at Bagels Unlimited in Gainesville, Florida.
Gainesville is the home of the University of Florida Gators and one of America’s best breakfasts. I don’t know what Tim Tebow, Urban Meyer or Steve Spurrier ate for breakfast on game days, but I can’t imagine anything being better than a stop at Bagels Unlimited. If you ever get the chance to visit Bagels Unlimited, the Pancake Sandwich (eggs, bacon and cheese between two thick pancakes) is a ridiculous but wonderful breakfast creation. That said, the main attraction is the Breakfast Casserole. It’s the owner’s secret homemade recipe and it’s one of the best breakfast items I have ever tasted.
Don’t go to Bagels Unlimited for a quick service experience. If you catch them on a rare slow period, you may be able to get something quick to go, but it is more of a small town diner with a long fan list and sometimes long waits. The waitresses are wonderful and take great care of you, but the emphasis is more on heartfelt service than it is on speed. Go with the idea of enjoying a relaxing breakfast and enjoy the experience.
Next time you are in Gainesville to see the Florida Gators, or if you happen to be driving through Gainesville to visit Walt Disney World, be sure to take a short detour off I-75 at Archer Road to try one of America’s best Breakfast Casseroles at Bagels Unlimited.
Enjoy!

Breakfast casserole sounds delicious!! Now if only we could redo our Orlando trip…
